Foods You Shouldn’t Eat If You Have High Creatinine

When creatinine is elevated, it’s a sign that your kidneys may be overworked or malfunctioning. Reducing your intake of certain foods—especially those high in sodium, potassium, and phosphorus—can help relieve kidney work.

1. Canned foods

They usually contain a large amount of sodium as a preservative. Opt for “low-salt” or no-salt-added versions, and rinse their contents before consuming.

2. Wholemeal bread

Despite being nutritious, it has more potassium and phosphorus than white bread. It is advisable to moderate its consumption.

3. Brown rice
