Apple Cinnamon Bread

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan.

In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla, and mix well.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder, and cinnamon.

Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Fold in chopped apples and nuts, if using.

Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan.

Bake for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
