Baked Barbecue Chicken Thighs with Onions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish large enough to fit the chicken thighs in a single layer.

In a small bowl, mix together the barbecue sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Set aside.

Place the chicken thighs in the prepared baking dish. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

Arrange the thinly sliced onions on top of and around the chicken thighs.

Pour the barbecue sauce mixture evenly over the chicken and onions, making sure each piece is coated.

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, remove the foil and baste the chicken with the juices in the pan. Return the dish to the oven, uncovered, and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the skin is crispy.

Once the chicken is done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired, before serving.
