Beef and Broccoli

In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, and water. Set aside.

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

Add the sliced beef to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Stir-fry until the beef is browned and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until they are tender-crisp.

Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the broccoli.

Give the sauce mixture a quick stir and then pour it over the beef and broccoli in the skillet.
