BUTTER DIP BISCUITS

Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C). Spray an 8×8-inch or 9×9-inch glass or ceramic baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl and pour it into the prepared baking dish.

In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Pour in the buttermilk and stir until a sticky batter forms. If the batter is too dry, add a bit more buttermilk until it’s thick and sticky.

Pour the biscuit dough into the baking dish on top of the melted butter. Spread the dough evenly in the pan, and some of the butter will run over the top of the dough.

Cut the dough into 9 squares and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown on top and spring back to the touch.
