chicken and wild rice soup

We’re from Iowa and we got almost 7 in of snow last night, plows haven’t been on our road yet so I threw together a chicken and wild rice soup, with stuff I had in the house. What goes better with soup then some homemade yeast rolls. Because so many had a problem finding the recipe so I am editing. We go to Costco every couple of months and I get rotisserie chickens and I usually pull the chicken off and have some vacuum sealed in the freezer. So I used 4 carrots, 4 stalks of celery, 1 onion and 4 garlic cloves Sauted in the Dutch oven with 2 tbsp of butter. 1/4 cup of flour over my veggies to soak up the remaining butter, add about a table spoon each of thyme, rosemary ,marjoram and 2 bay leafs. All I had on hand was Herbe de Providence. It’s a blend. Then I used 2 box’s of chicken stock. 1 cup of long grain white rice 1/2 cup of wild rice.Throw in diced chicken Simmer till tender. last 1/2 hr add about a cup of heavy cream or half and half.. and viole 🤤🤤🤤🤤 if you actually read this long I want to thank everyone for the nice comments this was my first post and I am blown away by how nice everyone has been.. Thanks everyone.
