Cinna-bun Cake Casserole

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick cooking spray.

Prepare Cake Batter: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until well combined. Stir in the melted butter until the batter is smooth.

Make Cinnamon Filling: In another bowl, mix together the softened butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon until it forms a thick paste.

Layer Cake Batter and Cinnamon Filling: Spread half of the cake batter into the prepared baking dish. Dollop half of the cinnamon filling mixture over the batter. Use a knife or spatula to swirl the cinnamon filling into the batter. Repeat with the remaining batter and cinnamon filling.

Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Prepare Cream Cheese Glaze: While the cake is baking, prepare the cream cheese glaze. In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined. Add milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, until the glaze reaches your desired consistency.
