CINNAMON SUGAR DONUT SWEET BREAD

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Grease a loaf pan with baking spray and set it aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the canola oil, softened butter, and granulated sugar. Stir until the mixture is well combined.
  3. Add the eggs and pure vanilla extract to the mixture, stirring until you achieve a smooth batter.
  4. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, and salt) and buttermilk into the batter, stirring until it forms a lump-free mixture. Be sure to scrape the sides of the bowl to incorporate all the ingredients evenly.
  5. Now, take 1/2 cup of the batter and transfer it to a smaller bowl. Set this aside.
  6. To the reserved batter, add ground cinnamon and molasses. Stir until these delightful flavors are well incorporated.
  7. Begin assembling your sweet bread by placing half of the plain bread batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing it out to form an even layer.
  8. Spoon half of the cinnamon and molasses batter on top of the plain bread batter.
  9. Add the remaining plain bread batter on top of the cinnamon layer.
  10. Finish by spooning the remaining cinnamon and molasses batter on top of the plain bread batter.
  11. Using a butter knife or toothpick, gently swirl the two batters together to create a marbled effect.
  12. Bake in your preheated oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius) for 45-50 minutes, or until the sweet bread is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
