Easy Apple Cake

Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F. Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg.
In another bowl, mix together the melted butter, sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the buttermilk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.
Toss the diced apples with lemon juice and fold them into the batter.
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
