Stir in milk and melted butter until combined.
Pour the batter into a greased 9-inch square baking dish.
Spoon the sugared strawberries evenly over the batter.
Bake for 35-40 minutes, until golden brown and bubbly.
Let cool slightly and serve warm, garnished with additional strawberries and whipped cream if desired.
