Honey Baked Chicken

1. In a bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, green onions, cooking oil, minced garlic, white vinegar (if using), sesame oil (if using), and minced ginger to make the marinade.

2. Place the chicken thighs in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, making sure all the pieces are well coated. If using a plastic bag, seal it tightly. Marinate the chicken in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight.

3. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

4. Remove the chicken thighs from the marinade, reserving the marinade for later use. Place the chicken thighs in a baking dish and season them with salt and pepper to taste.

5. Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until cooked through and the glaze becomes caramelized. The internal temperature of the chicken should reach 165°F (74°C).

6. While the chicken is baking, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan. Bring it to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes until it thickens slightly.

7. Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Drizzle the thickened marinade over the chicken.

8. Serve the Honey Baked Chicken with steamed rice or vegetables. You can garnish it with additional chopped green onions, if desired.

Enjoy your delicious Honey Baked Chicken!
