How the color of your tongue reveals your health

1. Normal Tongue – Pink, with no stripes and no color imbalance, with light and normal layers. This shows that your body is functioning properly.

2. Thin white coating, visible teeth marks and some red spots – This condition shows lack of energy and constant fatigue, loss of appetite and excessive sweating. This is common in worried and anxious people.
3. Thin yellow coating in the middle and dark red color of the tongue – Typical in people with digestive problems, dehydration and skin diseases. Mood swings are another visible symptom observed in people with such changes.

4. Thick white coating, swollen edges – This also indicates indigestion or water retention. These people often experience fatigue and lethargy.

5. Dark spots and purple tongue – Signs of possible blood stasis and vein problems. Swollen feet, headaches, chest pain and dull skin are the most common symptoms in these people.

6. Thin white coating and red tip – This condition shows an altered emotional state. Energy accumulates in the body and causes frequent inflammation.

7. Red tongue and white diapers – Signs of increased body temperature, possibly caused by infections and skin problems.

8. Thick white coating and pale, swollen tongue – Possible infection and vitamin and mineral deficiency. In addition, if you have pale skin, pelvic pain, and a feeling that resembles panic, see your doctor immediately.

9. Small cuts/tears – Fungal infections that often manifest with sweating, insomnia, and irritation.

10. Pale tongue, no visible coating – This condition is caused by reduced blood flow, anemia, memory, and concentration problems. Women with this condition often have hormonal imbalance.
