Lemon Garlic Crawfish & Shrimp Fries

  1. Begin by combining the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, thyme, oregano, basil, and lemon zest in a bowl. Mix well and set aside.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the flour and cornmeal together.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
  4. Rinse the crawfish and shrimp in cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  5. Dip the crawfish and shrimp into the buttermilk, then coat them in the flour and cornmeal mixture.
  6. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the shrimp and crawfish to the pot. Cook for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Use a slotted spoon to remove the shrimp and crawfish from the pot and place them on a paper towel to drain.
  8. In a small bowl, mix the chopped parsley and lemon juice. Set aside.
