MEAT EMPANADAS

Meat empanadas are very easy to prepare, they may seem complex but they are not, following the step below.

Step 1

Heat the oil in a pan and add the chopped onion. Stir well and fry until the onion is

golden. Next, add the minced meat and stir. Let it cook for 7 minutes.

Then add the minced garlic and stir well. Let stand 2 minutes, then add the chopped tomato and

remove. Leave for 6 minutes.

Step 3

Next, add the broken chile, cumin, parsley, and garlic powder, and stir well. Season with salt and

add the chopped olives and stir well. Cook for 2 more minutes and remove from heat. Let cool for

the filling.

Put the flour, salt and melted butter in a bowl and mix well, then add the water little by little until

let the dough form. Let it rest for 10 minutes in the fridge.

Once the time is up, place the dough on the table, spread it out and cut it to fill them.

Once stuffed, place them on a baking tray and brush with the egg on top of the empanadas and prick the

top of the empanadas so that the steam escapes and they do not burst.

Bake at 400°F for 30 minutes. Let cool slightly and serve.
