Moist Banana Brownies with Brown Butter Frosting

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the sugar, sour cream, butter, and eggs. Mix until smooth and creamy.
Add the flour, baking soda, salt, and vanilla extract to the mixture. Stir until combined.
Fold in the mashed bananas and walnuts, if using.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
While the brownies are cooling, prepare the brown butter frosting.
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it turns golden brown and has a nutty aroma.
Remove from heat and whisk in the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk. Stir until smooth.
Spread the frosting over the cooled banana bread brownies. Let it set before slicing.
