OREO CAKE BALLS

Crush the Oreo cookies: Place the Oreo cookies in a food processor or put them in a sealed plastic bag and crush them using a rolling pin until they become fine crumbs.

Mix the crushed cookies with cream cheese: In a large bowl, combine the crushed cookies with the softened cream cheese. Mix well until the mixture is thoroughly combined and forms a sticky dough.

Shape the mixture into balls: Take small portions of the mixture and roll them into 1-inch (2.5 cm) balls between your palms. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Chill the balls: Once you’ve shaped all the mixture into balls, place the baking sheet in the refrigerator and let the balls chill for about 30 minutes to firm up.

Melt the chocolate or candy coating: In a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler, melt the chocolate or candy coating according to the package instructions until smooth and liquid.

Dip the balls in chocolate: Take each chilled ball and dip it into the melted chocolate or candy coating, ensuring it’s completely coated. You can use a fork or a toothpick to help with the dipping process. Allow any excess coating to drip off.

Decorate (optional): If desired, you can decorate the cake balls with sprinkles, crushed Oreo crumbs, or drizzle additional melted chocolate on top.

Set and serve: Place the coated balls back on the parchment-lined baking sheet and let them set until the coating hardens. Once the coating is firm, your Oreo cake balls are ready to be enjoyed! You can serve them immediately or store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Note: Feel free to get creative with the recipe by using different flavors of Oreo cookies or experimenting with different coatings and decorations. Enjoy your homemade Oreo cake balls!
