Pepperoni Pizza Grilled Cheese

Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
Butter one side of each slice of bread.
Place 4 slices of bread, buttered side down, on a clean surface.
Spread pizza sauce evenly onto the unbuttered side of each slice of bread.
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese over the sauce on each slice.
Arrange 6 slices of pepperoni on top of the cheese on each slice of bread.
Sprinkle garlic powder, dried oregano, dried basil, and a pinch of red pepper flakes (if using) over the pepperoni.
Place the remaining 4 slices of bread, buttered side up, on top of the pepperoni and cheese to form sandwiches.
Place the sandwiches in the preheated skillet or griddle and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Remove from the skillet or griddle and let cool for a minute before slicing.
Serve the Pepperoni Pizza Grilled Cheese hot with additional pizza sauce for dipping, if desired.
