Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease and line the bottom of a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
Prepare Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, gently whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
Cream Butter and Sugar: In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Combine Wet Ingredients: Beat in the eggs, lemon juice, and lemon zest until well combined.
Mix Batter: Alternate adding the flour mixture and buttermilk to the wet ingredients, mixing well after each addition. Be careful not to over-mix.
Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs.
Cool: Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting it onto a wire rack to finish cooling.
Make the Glaze: While the loaf is cooling, whisk together the powdered sugar and lemon juice in a small bowl.
Glaze the Loaf: Poke holes in the top of the warm bread with a toothpick. Drizzle half of the glaze over the top, spreading it into the holes. Allow this layer to set for a minute before adding the remaining glaze on top.
