Step 1: Combine the Dry Ingredients

Step 2: Add Water and Mix
Pour the water into the bowl and stir using a wooden spoon or spatula. Mix until a sticky dough forms. It’s okay if the dough looks a bit lumpy—no need to overmix.
Step 3: Cover and Let the Dough Rise
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a kitchen towel and let the dough rise at room temperature for 12 to 18 hours. The longer it sits, the more flavor it develops. You’ll notice bubbles on the surface, indicating the dough has fermented properly.
Step 4: Shape the Dough
After the rise, lightly flour a clean surface and your hands. Carefully transfer the sticky dough onto the floured surface. Fold the dough a few times to shape it into a round—there’s no need to knead it.
